Colonel TAZ passed away on August 8th, 2009
at the age of 14. He had been living in retirement
in San Diego under the caring eye of Judy Addison
who had geriatric huskies of her own.
Some of Taz' fans have asked to see pictures of
him, thus this gallery appears here with captions.
Left -- My last conversation with TAZ in July, 2009.
Below -- The first photo of TAZ in 1997 just after his
rescue from the pound. Note the determined
expression.
Left-- A happy moment in my front yard
in June, 2008, just before heading into
retirement.
Right -- an odd little picture of Missy
and TAZ at the dog park in 1998.
Below -- The classic photo of TAZ from
the cover of Dogged and Determined.
If you take your hands and cover all
but his eyes, you can clearly see his
maniacal intent.
Left -- Happily in the front yard, June,
2008.
Below left -- Missy and CWNN (Cat
With No Name) always together.
Below -- Missy. If you look closely into
her eyes you can clearly see the back
of her head. Not a brain in there.
Good bye by friend. Somehow I
always viewed this shot as being the
last...as he walked away.
The Next Generation.
This is Tres, Robbi's three legged
therapy husky.
Tres and CWNN. We were fortunate to
have several cat friendly huskies over
the years. Tres is very photogenic.
One of these photos will be the cover
of the second book.
The Famous Colonel TAZ picture! Yes, Robbi and I dressed him
in a real military uniform. The insignias are all old Iditarod pins.
And the flag is real. This was taken on our front porch in 1998.
